Sunday, April 20, 2014. Easter Meditation: The Song Breaks In. I woke early this morning, as is my usual wont. It was still dark out.all was quiet and peaceful. And then I heard it. The very. Welcome sleepy twittering of the first robin of the season. Yesterday there was no sign of him, and yet there he was now. singing in the dawn of a new morning. For me it was my little joy gift from my heavenly father. and the perfect start to what many know as Resurrection Sunday. As sung by a choir at King's Colleg...

Brenda @ It's A Beautiful Life: For The Joy Set Before Him

Sunday, April 12, 2009. For The Joy Set Before Him. What gives an Olympic athlete the motivation and stamina to endure countless months of hard training, working out till his muscles scream in agony? What makes him choose to work on his technique or program, even when he hears the laughter of friends floating through open windows on warm summer days? What makes the athlete endure? What gives him the motivation to keep at it? What was the prize that gave him so much joy just thinking about it? Was it beca...

For You . . . The Lord bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you. May the mercies promised new every morning surround you and your loved ones, and may your heart recognize them so as to encourage and uplift your heart as you see His hand upon your life. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Passing the Gift Along. It's a lovely day out in our part of the world. bright and warm and feeling so much like Spring. We can hope it will stay, but we know from past experience that it's really only just a reprieve. There will no doubt be days that feel quite wintery before the season's done. However, reprieve or not, we shall sally forth today to enjoy the warmth on our faces and to take in deep breaths of the air that smells of earth and melting snow. No time to comment?

Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Tulips Are Happy Things. On a recent visit to the local conservatory we were delighted to find the pavilions in full Spring bloom. It no longer mattered that it was still cool outside - we'd been transported into a fragrant, cheery place - maybe even heaven. I do allow myself to imagine what it might feel like to be that free, that bold. In a world perfected by Love, where fear and cruelty hurled far from our presence, allows us to blossom into our truest selves. Surely, ...One d...

http://beautiful.wordfromhome.com/2015/05/moms-day.html
Sunday, May 10, 2015. One weekend in August last summer my mother came for a visit. We'd planned for her to come and stay a few days different times over the summer, but it never worked out. It was as if Someone knew there was a better timing just around the corner. And there was! We went out for lunch and sat on shady patios eating amazing pizza (check out post here. As you can see, I come by my love of books and reading naturally! All too soon, it was time to pack up the car with mom's suitcase and bag...
