Iriga City, World. Iriga City is located about 400 kilometers (about 222 miles) south of Manila, 38 kilometers (21 miles) south of Naga City (Camarines Sur), and about 60 kilometers (34 miles) north of Legaspi City (Albay). Iriga City is bounded by the town of Buhi in the east, by the municipalities of Baao, Nabua and Bato in the west, by the province of Albay in the south, and by the municipalities of Ocampo and Sangay in the north. Total land area: 119.6 sq km.

Iriga City, World. Iriga City has a typical tropical climate. It is classified as Type II which is characterized by no pronounced dry season and rainfall from May to December. The two airstreams, namely, northeast and southeast monsoons, variably produce a cold weather and significant rainfall from October to February, and five-month long summer from May to September.

Iriga City, World. Every February 11th, Iriguenos celebrate Tinagba Festival to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The festivities is characterized by a parade of farm carts drawn by carabaos as a way of giving thanks to the Almighty Lord for a bountiful harvest. Each barangay is represented by a cart uniquely decorated with farm produce from each respective barangay. This year's pintakasi was a great success. Pictures to be published later.
