On Becoming an Artist: Fall has come to the High Country (almost)
http://joannehanson.blogspot.com/2013/09/fall-has-come-to-high-country-almost.html
On Becoming an Artist. A journal on the struggle to learn how to paint well enough to call myself an artist. Saturday, September 21, 2013. Fall has come to the High Country (almost). Leaves are starting to change, but it has been slow this year. Our first frost was late, just a couple of nights ago, but now they will change faster. This was painted plein air and then tweaked just a little in the studio. If I go back and see these trees they will probably be a brilliant yellow now! View my complete profile.

Friday, July 30, 2010. 5 x 7 oil on panel. Posted by Shane Rebenschied. Friday, July 23, 2010. 5 x 7 oil on panel. I'm getting some wicked glare in this photo off the wet, thicker paint in the sky, but I'll upload a higher-quality scan once it's dry. Despite my earlier dislike of flat brushes (I've been using brights), I decided to give them another try and did this painting with #6 and #4 Bristlon Silver. Flats I take back the mean things I said as it was a different, but enjoyable experience. For whate...
Tracy LeClair: July 2010

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Here's a few new photos of Daisy. She's growing like a weed! This one is in the back yard; she loves to hide under the deck. Playing in the mud. She looks miserable, but she actually was having a ball! Paul and Daisy at the Frisco Marina. She was the star attraction. It's amazing how many total strangers will come up and talk to you when you have a puppy! Wednesday, July 14, 2010. I got cold chills, because it was just too much of a coincidence! Shane Rebenschied - Fine Art Blog: Patiently Waiting
http://turpitout.blogspot.com/2011/09/patiently-waiting.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. A few months back I ordered some new paintbrushes, medium, and gesso, and prepped about 5 panels with gesso'd muslin (something new I'm dying to try out), but just haven't had the time to paint. I have loads of reference and supplies at the ready, I'm just waiting for my workload to ease a bit so I can get back to painting on a regular basis. Maybe I need to challenge my mom. Soon to another 75 for 75. Project to get me started. Posted by Shane Rebenschied. AZ, United States.
