Friday, June 26, 2009. I couldn't make this stuff up! Boo has been getting sicker and sicker, and today he had a massive nose bleed which took half an hour or more to stop and which prompted me to telephone the doctor to ask whether I should take him for a Swine Flu swab. Honestly. I broke out into a huge grin (I'm still spontaneously giggling) at the absurdity of it all! I should definitely buy a Lottery ticket. It's not considered dangerous for either of us. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Look what I brung to my blog. Dear Headmistress of Boo's. I was HORRIFIED to see that this weeks newsletter includes a poem which includes the word " brung. I have fought, and won, the battle over the use of that word in my home, and am disappointed that the school published it in a way that gives it authority in my children's eyes. I do not think that it was included humorously. It certainly isn't funny to me. EDITED TO INCLUDE FOLLOWING CORRESPONDENCE. Thank you for your email.

Thursday, June 18, 2009. I don't really have the words. And I'm trying SO hard to make this a learning experience rather than spiraling downwards and sitting in the corner in a fetal position screaming and rocking and pulling my own hair out. We walked out of the Mediation with an agreement. Both sides agreed to what was written down during the meeting. My (elastic) gap year. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Blech, had a horrible migraine yesterday. The kind that insinuates itself into all the nerves of your teeth. Better now, although I still feel a little "spacey". I think these headaches are being caused by the oestrogen inhibitor that I take to help prevent a recurrence of the breast cancer.
