Thoughts on Medieval Pottery in Europe. There are very few examples of British (Celtic, as opposed to English, or Anglo-Saxon) pottery from after the Romans left Britain. The closest I've been able to get is Anglo-Saxon pottery. And it suits my methods of working. I went to Morocco twice in 2008: two weeks in January, then 6 weeks in November and early December. For my January trip, I spent two weeks in Marrakech and 3 nights in Essaouira, a quiet charming town on the Atlantic coast.

After 4 years of visual arts at Kootenay School of Art, she spent 6 years studying History in Art at the University of Victoria. JoAnn is gradually working back into drawing and painting, but in a non-traditional way, combining painting with other media. For most challenges of the Ripoff Artist, she painted on pieces of wooden furniture. In 2009, she painted on ceramic cow skulls.
