I haven't been tent camping in a couple of years so I was really looking forward to this. I was not disappointed. The weather was fantastic, there were hardly any bugs and everyone had a blast. Pat and I rented a boat at Opeongo Mountain Resort on Lake Clear, southwest of Eganville last Saturday. It didn't take us very long to figure out why they called it Lake Clear. We overheard the neighbours talking about a small private fishing derby down at the other end of the bay. The winner took home $125 with an 8" Perch and second place won $75 for a 7" Perch.
