A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Then a short two years after loosing my mother, I arrived at my father's house to find him convulsing. Between seizures, he had a look in his eyes that said, "What's happening to me? For both of them, I handled everything to do with the funerals. Everyone thought the services were a fitting tribute to the people that brought this family to life and kept this family together. Take care my friends.

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Sunday, March 16, 2014. Let me tell you about the day I had on Wednesday. We'll start with this photo from last Monday. This is a typical military marker found at cemeteries across America. When not covered by snow, it looks like the markers in rows just to the right in the sidebar. We've had enough snow this year. I started my day off at 4am. The winter storm started right about then. What a mess that was! There were acciden...

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. You see, it was programmed into me at a very young age. First, came the food. We learn to eat what our parents feed us. We form habits and preferences before we even know it. I had food allergies from an early age as well that helped to form my self image. In the years following the deaths of my parents, I have struggled with finding who I am. I can do anything I desire. Life is meant to live. I...

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Mardi Gras at Christmas. I've discovered the real Fat Tuesday. After a large brunch celebrating my father-in-laws 95th birthday and then the company Christmas dinner at one of my favorite funeral homes all on the same day, I am still feeling the effects a couple of days later. I refuse to go anywhere near a scale but I'm sure it would tell me something I wouldn't like to hear. Fortunately, I do hav...

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Monday, March 30, 2015. High in the mountains of Tibet, where no trees grow and my beautiful dog's ancestors come from, there is a ritual unlike anything we have in the United States. Take a look at this video. And see what you think about this unique way of moving on from this earth. I would love to read your thoughts. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 18, 2015. I stumbled across this a while ago and absolutely love it.

A brighter side of the grave: Satanic Yoga?

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Friday, May 8, 2015. I seriously question how these people get to be any sort of authority in any capacity. I know you will join me in shaking my head in disbelief after reading the article that follows. 160;(UK), Father Cesare Truqui explained how the Roman Catholic Church has seen a steady uptick in reports of demonic possession all around the world, and that popular culture pastimes like reading Harry Potter. 160;are ofte...

A brighter side of the grave. A view of life from the drivers seat of a hearse. Thursday, February 5, 2015. Following our afternoon at the Bonaventure Cemetery,. We headed in to town. It was a Saturday evening and Savannah had come to life. The city was everything you would expect. With quaint shops, bars, bistros and street music everywhere. We explored quite a bit before deciding on a place to eat dinner. There were many choices. From the trendy bistros,. Tourist traps like the Pirate's House,. These s...

Monday, 17 November 2014. So what’s all this about 4k TV then? Not only that but, where do you get 4k signals? You can buy a 4k player and some Blu-ray disks claim to be 4k, also you can stream 4k from the Internet if you have fibre but, we have not all changed from DVD to Blu-ray, or afford fibre and they cannot broadcast 4k signals, no room, all the available channels are in use with normal SD and HD TV… Uh Oh! And it will be a another case of ‘Buy or don’t get TV sucker! 4k is not four times the defin...

Incultus: Busy week –3
http://cassus-vas.blogspot.com/2010/07/busy-week-3.html
Thursday, 8 July 2010. Busy week –3. This time we were off to a reunion that I try to attend every year. It is held in different parts of the country and this year was held in Dudley, a part of England known as The Black Country, a name that is a legacy from the industrial revolution. So for several years now, one of our group takes a turn to organise something for the reunion weekend and this time it was the turn of JC who lives in the midlands. The Hotel and the canal basin. Our group being briefed by ...

Saturday, 20 December 2014. Essential for magic potions. Kisses must be plentiful around the county of Gloucestershire because that county has an abundance of the plant and you will find entire stands of trees filled with more mistletoe leaves than their own native leaves. It seems to thrive in this area more than any other part of Great Britain that I have visited. Almost any winter skyline around Gloucestershire contains trees covered in mistletoe. Friday, 5 December 2014. The Last of its Kind. Autumn ...
