The Village Quilters: September 2014
http://thevillagequilters.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. One Block Wonder is done! I then had a brain? Thunk and cut down the leftovers and appliqued them on the edge. I aim to quilt it myself (eeekkkk) but think as it's small I should manage. Hope everyone is enjoying today's sunshine in Melbourne. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. I have been practising. plus Sept Honour blocks. I have been doing some free motion quilting and despite still a long way to go I can see some improvement. A foot that doesn't bounce is a big help! Right) Jam...

The Village Quilters: Epp slow progress
http://thevillagequilters.blogspot.com/2015/06/epp-slow-progress.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Here are some more AHHHH's for the second quilt that just seems to keep growing. I think the way it is now it needs another row of 8 blocks so that it works out symmetrical rather than being slightly off centre! I seem to have lost the mojo though for these at the moment so I will get back to it in a few weeks. June 9, 2015 at 2:55 PM. June 9, 2015 at 3:15 PM. You have done lots with your EPP.slowly but surely! June 9, 2015 at 11:23 PM. June 10, 2015 at 6:30 AM. Just hang in there!

The Village Quilters: December 2014
http://thevillagequilters.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 23, 2014. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well it's not cold, wet(snowing) or dark at 4 p.m ( being English this is what I grew up with and even after 38 years in Australia I still can't get used to a hot Christmas . ah well) but it's as close as I can get. Finally got the tree up and decorated but it's not as good as usual. Still it's up. Wishing you all a very happy and safe festive season. Saturday, December 20, 2014. Tis finished and a proud moment. The last five and a ...

Denice's Day: May 2015
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Sunday, May 31, 2015. I didn’t know it takes eight hundred grapes to make one bottle of wine. I need to savor a little bit more. Is the story of secrets kept and then discovered truths. Georgia Ford is from a grape growing wine making family. Her father took the risk and carved out a life that Georgia can’t imagine not being a part of until bad harvests made her take stock of her future. Georgia’s fiancé has a big one. Her parents have big ones. This ...

Denice's Day: July 2014
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Most of us have different friends for different parts of our lives. I have a good friend who has many friends and one day I commented to her that she has someone to do something with no matter what she is going to do. Concert? She knows someone who loves them. Antique shop hopping? She has someone who loves to do that. Going for a walk on a nature trail? She has a walking friend. Berry picking? Last January we mailed to each ot...

Denice's Day: Stick dolls
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2015/08/stick-dolls.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Summer is winding down. There's still a whole month before school starts but the kids are getting tired of it, though they would never admit that, especially Elizabeth. During summer I have them on Thursdays. When I was unpacking I discovered the wasi tape and tongue depressors and we set to making "wasi people." Wow. What an activity! Took off with this project! Don't they look like they're wearing golf togs? One week to go ...

Denice's Day: June 2015
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Monday, June 29, 2015. Life is just a bowl of cherries. This summer is all upside down for us because it's continuing to march on but we feel like we're missing it. We're busy and tired and in a state of confusion in this house. So when the opportunity to return to South Haven to have dinner with friends came up, we took it, and decided to pick cherries while we were there in orchard country. But now, what to do with ten pounds of sweet cherries?

Denice's Day: March 2015
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Monday, March 30, 2015. Last Saturday I boarded a bus filled with friends and strangers and went to the International Quilt Show in Chicago for the day. It was a flawless day filled with quilts and vendors and a welcome break from thinking about selling this house and finding somewhere else to live. There were tastes and textures for everyone. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Well, that was a mistake! What a mess. This is a prime example why I don't use ...

Denice's Day: December 2014
http://weesied.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A little quilting, reading, and an occasional cookie. Monday, December 29, 2014. It seems to me that looking back on the year past and taking stock of the good things that came our way, appreciating the little things, is a better way of improving one's outlook on life. In a wonderful book called Time Stops for No Mouse. By Michael Hoeye, Hermux, the main mouse, took time every night to keep a little journal (it would be little wouldn't it? So, not to belittle anyone. Time Stops For No Mouse. And this lit...
