So, I thought this would be a good opportunity to record the stories of how we choose our first three kids' names. Since our last one won't have a name, I might as well do it now.). Sunday, January 11, 2015. Adventures In Quiet Book Making. I opted to have each page be a 10 x 10 inch square. So when I cut the felt with a ruler and x-acto knife I was actually cutting out 10 x 20 inch rectangles. I also choose to work with felt because it's inexpensive, colorful, I had it in large quantity, and it's extremely forgiving with cuts and hand stitches. Each rectangle I folded in half and sewed in a straight line (from top to bottom) 1/4 of an inch from the fold with my sewing machine.

Monday, June 8, 2015. Let's go back in time 7 months and pretend like I didn't forget to post about my last season of dive coaching, umkay? I quit then got rehired right before the season started. I watched one of my divers score a perfect 10 (and then fail her next dive.). I saw 3 guys hit the board in a meet all in a row. I dragged my kids to every practice and they loved every second.
