Karen's Travels: August 2008
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 30, 2008. I'm having a hard time these days remaining focussed. I have finished my 2 weeks of camps - they were alright, but it was much different than the other weeks of camps because these girls just didn't have the English vocabulary like the other students did, so communication was exhausting. Other than that.I have 4 days of 'teaching' and goodbyes this week.should be pretty easy, but I can't stop thinking about home and leaving and what's all awaiting me there! 1) Flying - I love it.

Karen's Travels: Tours and Visits
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008/08/tours-and-visits.html
Friday, August 22, 2008. I've had an incredibly busy week with my 1st of 2 weeks of summer camps. They've been going ok, but I'm just getting tired I think and ready to come home! I haven't had a chance to update you on what happened last weekend - it was a great weekend! It started out with welcoming Maria and Nate back from Indonesia! Talk about interrupting an intimate moment. We also ran into the cutest little couple who were wearing couple t-shirts and celebrating 100 days of dating!

Karen's Travels: December 2007
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 23, 2007. Today we were excited to go to church to be with others to celebrate and sing Chrismtas songs together. We weren't disappointed. The morning service was about Love, the last of the themes in the advent season. The community here is very friendly and happy. :). After church we headed to our new favourite brunch buffet restaurant - Big Rock. And we were ecstatic to see a hockey game playing on the screens and TV's! They were playing Vancouver Canucks/Coyotes game LIVE! We sing it...

Karen's Travels: The last couple weeks
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008/07/last-couple-weeks.html
Thursday, July 24, 2008. The last couple weeks. So, again, I've gone through a writing drought. Two weekends ago, we had the amazing chance to go to the mud fest in Buryeong, South Korea. What a blast! Seriously, it's the most insane, hilarious and dangerous weekend! I'm sure you've read some of the other girls blogs, but yeah, being covered in mud and running around wrestling, swimming and trying not to slip on the ground that's covered in an inch of pure mud! I'm gonna miss this group!

Karen's Travels: Home!
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008/09/home.html
Monday, September 08, 2008. Hey everyone, sorry it's taken so long to write this post! We arrived safely in Toronto and Shana and I picked up our luggage quickly.I guess we were one of the last ones to check in! Then we had some time to kill waiting for our connections, so we did what any Canadian would do - bought poutine! And I followed it up by buying my annual fall purchase of the Hockey News to help me with hockey pool picks. There were lots of laughs and teasing and great memories for sure! I think...

Karen's Travels: June 2008
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2008. This has truly been an eventful week. It's been great having Val's cousins here for the food delicacies, as my previous blog talked about. Another crazy thing that happened this week occurred on Thursday afternoon at school. I was just getting back from my lunch when massive SCREAMS and stampeding began. However, they had managed to trick all the girls with that announcement somehow. They hid VOS in a room in my hallway (which is basically deserted of students). I was certainly not...

Karen's Travels: February 2008
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. This week definitely the busier of the 2 weeks I was at school "planning." On Monday I went for lunch with the English teachers. 2 of them are leaving for other schools and we are getting a new English teacher. I'm excited to meet her. Wednesday, I woke up to find the NHL changed a few faces! It was quite the trade deadline day! Thursday I went to Sinchon with my co-teacher and 2 friends that also teach at our school. We had a pasta lunch, we rented a study room (? And had tea ...

Karen's Travels: July 2008
http://karen_o.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2008. I had my greatest teaching experience last week during a summer camp put on by the local board of education. 60 of the top grade 7 students, both boys and girls, attended this camp from all the middle schools in our area. I was a little anxious to be doing this camp, worried that my lessons were too difficult or that I wouldn't be able to relate to the boys having taught girls the whole time I've been in Korea. What a nice change from the 40 I'm used to. On the last day, the stude...
