Joe's Flying Training Blog: Another Conversion

http://joe-flying.blogspot.com/2014/09/another-conversion.html

Joe's Flying Training Blog. This is a record of my training program and experiences during training for my Private Pilots Licence and beyond. Tuesday, 9 September 2014. The weather today is high pressure so some early fog, light winds, with some cloud at 2800ft but fine for flying. First stage was the walk-around checks, I couldn’t find some things so had to ask the instructor, but soon had the external checks completed. He said yes and to get on with it. On the apron at Redhill. 2 June 2016 at 08:48.

Now I’ve got my licence I’m converting to two other aircraft – a Diamond Katana DA-20 C1 and a Piper Warrior PA28. G-NIKK on the parking area at Redhill. Simple template&#...

http://joe-flying.blogspot.com/2013/08/licence-application.html

Joe's Flying Training Blog. This is a record of my training program and experiences during training for my Private Pilots Licence and beyond. Friday, 30 August 2013. Back to the CAA at Gatwick this morning – this time with my passport. Even though I got there at 08:25am, before it opened there was a long queue. An hour and a half later I got to the desk and handed in my paperwork and log book. All I have to do now is wait for the CAA to process and issue my licence. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My adventures in flying learnings and yearnings. Local with the inlaws. Local with the inlaws. Aerobatic lesson about to start. I’ve got a list of people that I’d like to take up for a flight, and having already taken my mum (very strange that I can’t find the blog entry for that… perhaps I didn’t write that up) it was high time to take the mother and father in-laws, something I’d been trying to organise for some time. Susan by the aircraft. Well to tabs anyway) I decided that we’d go and fill up&#...

Why Fly? | clear skies

http://flying.chrisdixon.net/why-fly

My adventures in flying learnings and yearnings. Why learn to fly? I also enjoyed airshows from a young age as well as visiting my local model aircraft club, so I guess I had all the groundings of an interest in flying. Then, when I got to school age I was interested in actually becoming an airline pilot. I wrote to British Airways who had a pilot training school, but I was disappointed to find that my short sightedness meant that I didn’t meet the vision requirements. From time to time our passion would...

My adventures in flying learnings and yearnings. Tick off the list, and a currency check. Tick off the list, and a currency check. We hatched a plan to combine a currency check with one of the goals off my goals list. Mike had helpfully brought a military scale map which showed the corridor in more detail. My previous knowledge had been based on a scant reading of Low Level Route explanation from CAA website. Onward, and back via Warton where we were able to keep above 2000′ ft as a police helicopt...
