Downland Views: October 2012
http://downlandviews.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Musings of life in an area of chalk downland with its abundance of wildlife but only a few miles from London. Sunday, 14 October 2012. I always find Autumn to be a peaceful time. There is a sense of things settling down for a well earned rest and, to be honest, I would like to join them as I feel tired. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Biggin Hill, United Kingdom. Downland Views: December 2013
http://downlandviews.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Musings of life in an area of chalk downland with its abundance of wildlife but only a few miles from London. Sunday, 8 December 2013. Last Post (for a while). I have legitimately been able to forget the housework and go off exploring the countryside as the doctor said walking would strengthen my knee and help with its recovery following the op. It has worked.I am now pain free! I have also visited the various parts of Saltbox S.S.S.I. The area we overlook from our bungalow is very disapp...As did the As...

Not that this has anything to do with my garden .but putting the event on my timeline is all part of the 'what were you doing then stuff'.well actually I watched the wedding, walked around a lake, had a drink in a clubhouse while celebrating 'that kiss on the balcony' on a big screen with a bunch of lively revellers.then had a curry with some mates. Perfect. Thursday, 28 April 2011. Apologies for...

Downland Views: I Blame the Weather
http://downlandviews.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-blame-weather.html
Musings of life in an area of chalk downland with its abundance of wildlife but only a few miles from London. Sunday, 4 August 2013. I Blame the Weather. Thankfully when we took my mother to visit a Lavender farm that is not too far away there were plenty of bees (although hardly any honey bees). I therefore decided that this year I would brush cut and rake the area of the field directly behind us before these plants went to seed. Here is a picture showing Superman Sean shearing a shaggy sheep in shimmer...

http://ourveryownbirdland.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Our Very Own) Birdland. Welcome to our back garden in North Oxfordshire.and meet our feathered visitors! Friday, 17 June 2011. This Afternoon (During the Rain). We got rain this afternoon. Most of our garden birds disappeared to sit in the trees and bushes. But two braved the rain to visit the drinking/bathing pool near our back door. Batman/Batwoman.wish I could tell them apart! One or both of them is always on patrol, making sure nothing's wrong in their territory! Links to this post. Links to this post.

(Our Very Own) Birdland: Jackdaws
http://ourveryownbirdland.blogspot.com/2011/05/jackdaws.html
Our Very Own) Birdland. Welcome to our back garden in North Oxfordshire.and meet our feathered visitors! Monday, 30 May 2011. I must admit that I find jackdaws. Really creepy. But as they are, unfortunately, regular visitors to our garden (several at a time.), I guess I should add a jackdaw entry to this blog. Photos of jackdaws aren't easy to get, as they are spooked really easily. That's funny - they spook me very easily, too! Isn't that second photo a little chilling? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
