Joe Brainard was born in Salem, Arkansas, in 1942, but shortly thereafter his family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he grew up. From an early age Joe showed artistic talent, winning virtually every art contest he entered. He even designed his mother's dresses. For Joe, art was a calling, but it was also a way that he, a gentle, skinny, unathletic stutterer, could deal with the world outside his home; the world of public school in a working-class neighborhood. An art and literary magazine. In 1964 Joe be...

1 comentario ». Wrote @ 20/06/2009 at 21:58. Deja una respuesta Cancelar respuesta. Introduce aquí tu comentario. Joe Brainard's Pyjamas (The Sequel)
Joe Brainard's Pyjamas (The Sequel). Sunday, August 9, 2015. We Like to Pretend. We like to pretend we are far from the primordium. But it has never left us. This is Day One. The being we inhabit without thought. Is more than the being we inhabit. With it. It's when we're most synonymous. With nature, with whom we otherwise. Part ways. We like, I think, to pretend. It's a minority opinion we entertain. To condescend. But it's actually. The other way around. Thoughts form. And his house was razed. I'm sur...

Joe Brainard's Pyjamas
Abusing Nietzsche, they descend in their Joe Brainard pyjamas. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. I have gone here. To be reborn in GOOGLE. This blog was cast out of the kingdom of Google. For no good earthly reason. But I'm out of tags here anyway now that we're on the "ration" plan. So you know where to find me. Nobody ditched you. Nobody "threw you under the bus.". Just shut up about that. I love you to death. Especially your "inner bitch.". Yeah, I noticed it. As quiet as you were. I tend to think the latter.
