Journey with Joe and Janet. Monday, October 13, 2008. Union Station - Columbus Day Celebration. If you look closely by the flag poles you will see many soldiers dressed in different colors. Union station is where the big inauguration ball is held, the lobby is wider then the Washington monument is tall. If you look next to the tall monument you will see soldiers in procession. Next to the monument is the Freedom Bell which is a smaller version of the Liberty Bell. Posted by Joe and Janet.

Journey with Joe and Janet. Saturday, December 22, 2007. Posted by Joe and Janet. Jessica finally made us update. Time has flown by since July. We have been busy with our lives and family. Over Labor day we went up to Jackson hole with Jennifer. It was a nice trip. We rose the tram up at Teton village. That was beautiful. We recommend it to anyone. We rode the tram then had lunch at the top of the mountain. It was cold up there but I'm cold anywhere. We saw lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Journey with Joe and Janet. Saturday, January 13, 2007. Brrrr it's cold down here. Since the holidays are over we have nothing to do but keep the ice off the pool. Notice the bare feet? This was a week ago, the weather was not so cold as you can see. This week it was a bit colder. Notice the hat and shoes below. Even the palm trees got a beach towel to cover. Journey with Joe and Janet. Monday, October 13, 2008. Lincoln and Vietnam Memorial. After climbing the big hill to Arlington our feet were getting a bit sore. We were tempted to skip the stairs but knew it was something we needed to see up close. We were not disappointed. The memorial is huge and his famous speeches are written on each wall of the exhibit. We are guessing that from his foot to his knee is about 6 feet tall. You can see how small Mom is standing below Lincoln. Posted by Joe and Janet.

You can barely see the WW2 Memorial about halfway between the Washington Monument. This is the Korean Memorial, their are 19 soldiers. In the garden. When you stand between the soldiers. And the wall it appears there are 38 soldiers. This represents the 38 th. Parallel they were fighting over. One of my new favorite spots! Here we are in Arlington Cemetery.

52 weeks to preparedness. Sunday, July 11, 2010. A beautiful day at Panguitch Lake. We love this place. The lake was at it's fullest. This is the dam, it was only a foot below the top. Grandma and Grandpa Joe came up for a couple days. The bridge at Mammoth Creek. This was right before the turnoff to Bryce Canyon. Zoom in and you will see prairie dogs. This is one of their holes. It went forever. Overlooking the Escalante River. Taylin's fish. She is turning into quite a fisherwoman! At the top of Boulder.

Don't limit yourself to associate with people who ALREADY share your values. Your kids will not learn things until they are ready to. Let them take their journey at their own pace. Play scrabble to keep your mind sharp. (still working on it). Seek out people that make you laugh. Tell your kids you love them everytime you talk to them.
