Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Here we have some work that I did involving more of a handmade feel. This a chance for me to play around with editing photos. The first image is me painting directly over the top of a photograph to make it more dynamic. I thought that it turned out really cool. There was a sense of darkness in the original photograph that didn't really fit the model as a person. I decided to add some hot pinks and yellows to give the piece a kind of brevity that really fits Dennis.

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. 160; I'm posting some sketches on here that I've done recently. The are more studies in emotion than anything else. Quick work. I think I spent one to two hours on each of these pieces. Still, there's something about the simplicity of the work that appeals to me. All emotion, no complication. 160;Good times. More to come! And most recently he illustrated a fabulous book called Tales From Wonderland: The Mad Hatter. An origin story for the Tales From Wonderland. Version of the Mad Hatter.
