Monday, 14 March 2011. Because me and the girlfriend were short money around valentines day, we decided to make each other presents. she made me a nice poster of us both. i went online to find out how to make origami flowers. i made a huge flower i don't know how to spell and 5 lilly's and 4 tulips. it opened my eyes to the possibilities of paper manipulation and paper folding. In task 2 we are to create a poster for GF Smith paper and design distributors, a 100th year anniversary that celebrates the theme of 100 and paper. we were given tutorials that really helped. these were in both grid structure and layout and photography, both of which were and still remain extremely useful tools. it really helps to have knowledge on the subjects. Is made from paper. Friday, 11 March 2011. Poster development - making. I prepared the paper just as I prepared the paper for the sculpture I made in task one, except I was going to be drawing on the design freehand, so I could stick the brown paper on first. Dont worry, i used a spray booth, not the mac lab desk :P. Neatening up the edges. I then drew on some birthday related illustrations to cut out of the numbers. Cutting the shapes out.
