My Sketch Books: Behold the beauty.

This is from a reference photo take by a niece or nephew. The colors are my own, as is the simplicity of the scene. I emphasized the colorful sky, and matched the color of the girls hair with the sky color. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I welcome all comments, good or not so good. Second portrait - work in progress. Work in progress. Using minimal color - acrylics - still some details to make him shine. It's a great exercise - kind of like doing scales in music. I did this for my niece (George's oldest daughter.) Less is more! Quick study in acrylics. This study is for a future painting. The girl will appear in a different setting. This is an 8x10inch and is for sale. Contact artist. Comes matted, ready for framing. Grandson David - Acrylics. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I love to do pen and ink - However, it is time-consuming and tedious - but the results can be worth it. I'm back with more art. My Wife passed away just before Christmas 2014 from liver cancer. I'm thankful for the close to 50 years we spent together, raising 2 pilots (1 military, 1 civilian) and watching them raise one boy each. "Keep your art going! Were the last conversations she and I had. Here is one I hadn't finished, but now it is. You can buy it here,. Or you can buy prints here.

What goes around, comes around. What goes around comes around! I painted this in 2006 for an art show. It's watercolor on canvas. An artist friend of mine bought it-she liked the "attitude" of the painting. She died recently and her family put it up for sale - I bought it back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
