Joel Forman's Blog: August 2009
http://joelforman.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
NET and some other stuff. Sunday, August 30, 2009. Italy Day 4: Rome. We did not have a ton planned for our final day in Rome, and it ended up being a nice relaxing day. We went to Galleria Borghese. In the morning. The musuem contains several works of Bernini. Bernini's Apollo and Daphne is remarkable, and we circled back to check it out twice. Just before sunset, we headed out to Piazza del Popolo. Tomorrow we are headed north to the Cinque Terra. Should be fantastic. Italy Day 3: Rome. After leaving t...

NET and some other stuff. Monday, March 9, 2009. Silverlight, ADO.NET Data Services, and WCF Services. I knew immediately that I wanted to use Silverlight for the user interface for my new WearMyBracket.com. Website. I wanted a simple, slick UI that would be straight to the point, but still leave folks a little impressed. And I felt that I had just enough UI skills to get this done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://joelforman.blogspot.com/2009/09/italy-day-9-and-10-venice.html
NET and some other stuff. Monday, September 7, 2009. Italy Day 9 and 10: Venice. Internet access has become a little more difficult, and thus the combined posts. Our last two days in Venice were just awesome. We really enjoyed the city a lot, and we will have some great memories. On our last day in Venice, we targeted some famous sights. We headed to St. Mark's Square early in the day. We toured the square and St. Mark's Basilica. The square itself and the Doge's Palace were our favorites. Rite place to ...

SlalomDev: Using the Cloud

Thoughts on technology, gadgets and whatever else I feel like sharing with the world. Monday, March 30, 2009. Over the years I've started countless projects by myself or with friends that have never been fully realized. I'm still waiting for that one great idea that really drives me to create something from nothing. In the mean time I am pretty happy bringing other people's ideas to light, most of the time. Thoughts on technology, gadgets and whatever else I feel like sharing with the world. Monday, June 9, 2008. I got to attend the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2008 keynote this morning, it was a lot of fun. Luckily for me I didn't have to get there at 6am like my colleges who held a spot for me. I got to see Steve Balmer speak at Mix '08 back in March, he was good, but doesn't hold a candle to watching Mr. Jobs. On the left is a picture I took from line, so may nerds, myself included.

http://slalomdev.blogspot.com/2009/04/social-media-overload.html
Thoughts on technology, gadgets and whatever else I feel like sharing with the world. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. I'm starting to become overwhelmed with all the social media sites. I resisted Twitter for a long time, but I caved yesterday. For the most part I've been pretty good about keeping it simple. I killed my MySpace account years ago and have pretty much only used Facebook for keeping connected with folks I don't see on a daily basis. Posted by Greg Martin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Joel Castillo for President
Joel Castillo for President. Saturday, January 23, 2010. Have we completely forgotten this saying. Because it seems like in politics we have. Since when was it ok. For grown adults to act like 5 year olds. I'm not getting my way so I'm going to call everyone else names and not do anything useful. In congress are so freakin. I thought the point of a two-party system was to have opposing views and then work to find a middle ground. Where is the middle ground? Posted by Nick Healy. Thursday, November 6, 2008.
Joel Steenholdt For President
Let me tell you a little story. And so I got to thinking about who would make a great President, and what qualities this candidate would have. Of course there are the usual honesty, integrity, open-mindedness, strong leadership skills, etc. But what would really make a candidate special enough that he or she could motivate someone to get off their couch, go to the polls and feel good about casting their ballot? Joel Steenholdt and his family. Have they had their job move to Mexico, or China or Malaysia?
