Elk island national park. Photo of the Day. Wednesday, April 27th, 2016. This winter I got my first taste of ski touring and backcountry winter camping! Besides the blisters from borrowed boots, it was incredible and I look forward to many more trips. This trip I fell a lot, so not a whole lot of picture taking happened. I promise I’ll get better at skiing and deliver more photos in the future. Taken in Molar Meadows, Banff. 23mm, f7.1, 1/1000 of a second. Sound in Visual Form. Photo of the Day. Once I f...

The craft sessions v2.0 →. February 25, 2014. I recently tried out my macro lens for the first time. So much fun getting lost in the tiny details of life but so much to learn and I definitely need a tripod. I’m thinking of doing a course covering the basics of photography as I know nothing about manual settings and basic photographic language but there are so many out there- I’d really appreciate any advice from anyone with experience and opinions about good teachers and courses…. Lovely photo’s, m...

What Have We Here? March 30, 2015. We’ll leave it completely up to your imagination what the story is behind this photo. Elk island national park. Photo of the Day. Photo of the Day. Tuesday, September 10th, 2013. If I was closer would the rainbow just be a stripe across the waterfall (which is much more common)? Elk island national park. Photo of the Day. Updates are Few and Far Between. Tuesday, October 28th, 2014. Why have the updates been so slow this summer and fall? There are many reasons, but one of the main ones is that I’ve taken on a large graphic design project with Alieo Games. But even an exciting project like this can not stop my photography. It has. I’ll try to post when I can, and I expect things will pick up around here again next year. 12mm, f5, 1/500 of a second. New Jewelry in Stock. Have new ...

Elk island national park. Photo of the Day. Stand of Aspen on an Elk Filled Fall Evening. Photo of the Day. Tuesday, October 11th, 2011. This photo was taken in Cooking Lake Provincial Rec Area. This was an overcast day, and a little misty. There were water droplets on the grass and a bit of a breeze rustling the leaves too. It was in this muffled darkening atmosphere that I first noticed the elk. The bull was watching me, with his herd off to the side, behind a copse of apsen. Photo of the Day. I’...
