The Shooks: Make a Wish!
http://shookthingsup.blogspot.com/2008/05/make-wish.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2008. We celebrated our birthdays last week! For those of you who don't know, our birthdays are a day apart so we have fun birthday-ing it up together! We had friends meet and eat with us at Inn n out and then we all came back to our apartment and partied! Then on Monday, Mom Hampton had a delicious birthday dinner for us and everyone went around the table and said something nice about both of us. It feels good to be a little bit older and wiser and we love that we do it together!

I'm getting more and more excited as i get less and less sick. I'm almost 4 1/2 months now and am started to show a little belly. It's crazy how slow yet how fast it all goes by. Hopefully the labor part of pregnancy goes by very fast :). Posted by The Shooks. Your blog looks fantastic! Great job, sisterface! I love the new posts!

The Days Are Short . . .: May 2011
http://thedaysareshort.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The Days Are Short . . . Monday, May 23, 2011. We recently had our cub scout pinewood derby, arguably my most favorite part about cub scouts, and not just because my bear group that I'm partially in charge of doesn't have to do a skit. :) It's fun to have something that has so much family involvement, especially between fathers and sons. Not only did they have their scale ready, but her husband totally took over and helped put on our weights when we discovered that our car was woefully light. They ar...

The Days Are Short . . .: October 2010
http://thedaysareshort.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
The Days Are Short . . . Wednesday, October 20, 2010. So, like, I know I graduated from college and everything, but, like, WHAT'S A MOTHERBOARD? All I know is, my computer is really slow. Slow So, I had this great idea. Rather than spend a bunch of money on a new computer, which will soon be obsolete, why not just figure out how to make my little laptop go faster? I mean, am I actually supposed to do what that little hourglass indicates, and WAIT FOR STUFF TO LOAD? So, here's my dilemma: mommying. Th...

The Days Are Short . . .: May 2010

The Days Are Short . . . Sunday, May 30, 2010. I'm A Dork (which is probably not new information, really! I'd like to think of myself as generally capable of socially acceptable behavior. But every now and then, I say something stupid. Really stupid. I think I might be alone in this boat. I mean, there are people who say . . . ahem. . . socially unacceptable things all the time, but you just come to realize that, that's just them, right? Then there are times, when I'm just plain ridiculous:. With his peo...

The Days Are Short . . .: This One's Trouble ~ or, My 5-year-old Just Swore in Front of My In-Laws
http://thedaysareshort.blogspot.com/2012/05/this-ones-trouble-or-my-5-year-old-just.html
The Days Are Short . . . Thursday, May 3, 2012. This One's Trouble or, My 5-year-old Just Swore in Front of My In-Laws. Don't let the innocent Disney princess look fool you. . . I think I've known for the past, oh, let's say, 2 1/2 years that my youngest is likely to give me a run for my money when she's a teenager. I just didn't think it would start quite like this, now, at the ripe old age of 5 1/2. Let me set the stage for you. . . But with all the adults casually chatting, and she VERY excitedly gett...

The Days Are Short . . .: June 2011
http://thedaysareshort.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
The Days Are Short . . . Monday, June 27, 2011. Two people that I worked with since I started my job about 12 yrs ago, found out they had cancer last year. One of them died less than 2 weeks ago. She was 45 years old. She'd worked on our floor for 25 years! This poem was written on the back of the program:. God saw you getting tired. And a cure was not to be,. So He put His arms around you. And whispered "come to me". With careful eyes we watched you. We saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly,.

The Shooks: Graduation June 2008
http://shookthingsup.blogspot.com/2008/10/graduation-june-2008.html
Tuesday, October 14, 2008. It took me forever to finish school but i finally did it! It felt great to have my last test, to see my teachers for the last time, and to drive home from a long day of school for the last time. As boring as a graduation is for the audience members, walking and getting my diploma was really exciting! But seeing my family in the audience waving and yelling for me was the best part. Posted by The Shooks. I am so proud of you, sisterface! You are the hottest graduate of all time!
