Life with a Spinal Cord Injury. On February 20, 1985, I was a typical three-year-old. I ran around the house instead of going down for a nap and didn't always listen to my parents. On. That day, my parents, an aunt, and I were in a car accident while on our way to Des Moines. I received a spinal cord injury (SCI) between the second and third vertebrae (C2/3) in my neck. Especially for new injuries. I post as trainman, but am an infrequent visitor unless needed. Work for me and how I maintain my airway.

Variety of trains, intermodal, coal and general merchandise. The BNSF runs through southern Iowa and generally carries coal from the powder river basin in Wyoming to points further east. It is also part of the route of the California Zephyr which runs between Chicago, IL and Emeryville, CA near Oakland. Watching long coal trains with a variety of power configurations makes for an interesting day of rail fanning. To see my latest excursions.
