Sunday, June 10, 2012. Day 50 Marmora to Cape May 29.74 miles/3298.32 total miles. Well, I made it. Today I reached the end of my trip and the completion of my dream. Zach and I slept in until 9:00 am today. There was no breakfast, but after a quick 6 mile jaunt we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Day 35 Springfield to Tuscola 74.07 miles/2285.76 total miles. Good day today. Pretty hot though. I left at 7:00 am when it was 74 degrees and humid, and hoped to miss the worst of the heat in the late afternoon. It was almost 90 degrees by 9:00 am! Most of the communities in eastern Illinois and western Indiana were preparing for a heat emergency. Tomorrow is forecast to be hotter than today. In the high 90's with a heat index over 100. Two more rides before I get a rest day.
