Well, we made it through the 1st year! It was the fastest, most incredible year of my life. My baby is ONE year old. I was emotional the weeks leading to and the morning of his party, but after it was all over I felt excited about all the things he'll start doing in his 2nd year of life. He is such an amazing little person! I love you Evan with all my heart - Happy Birthday sweet boy! Opening his 1st present from us on his actual birthday. Playing in his new sandbox with his new Cardinal's hat!

Evan's 1st Easter.I was going for a Master's look here but with the trendy Euro garb the guys wear these days, Evan would have been out of place at Augusta! We enjoyed a yummy lunch here at the house but stayed in cause the little guy had a fever from what appears to be just a cold virus. We'll see. He's been much better today already! Happy Easter to everyone! And somebody send in Spring! What a sweetheart he is.smiling all the time even when he's sick. I'm sure the Easter bunny will make him all better.

Today it was a "snow" day without the snow. It was SO cold that we just hunkered down and didn't go anywhere. I think a high of 9 degrees was all the warmer it got. Anyway, Evan and I stayed in our pj's and sweats all day and I had to take a few pictures. Ho! Finally i captured them in a picture. Now do you understand why i asked for new lamps for the bedroom? Obviously the next few are not from today but i think they are adorable! Thanksgiving in Springfield.Great Grandma Fern had a fascinating shirt.

So far I haven't been sticking to my new years resolution to continue blogging. But we have a few bits of exciting news. Our trip to Playa del Carmen was fabulous. The weather turned out great despite what weather.com had predicted. It was so fun getting to spend time with Jeff and Crissy without having to watch our child. Thanks B and V for a great trip and "free" babysitting! Playing with new crayons.I can't wait until he can actually do this, probably a. Few months away still. A play date with Sophia at Grandmas, finally! They were born on the same day in 2008. Early new year's resolution.BLOG. It has been too long.about 6 months and I miss it! I haven't even read my friends blog's in about 4 months. No excuse except that I have added an iPhone to my toy collection and find it pretty easy to update friends and family that way. Do any of you blog from your iPhones? Anyway, we have an almost 19 month old now and seriously things just keep getting more fun and entertaining every day. Today he was caught pretending to put my deoderant on.has he watched me.

Every day I want to blog, but it just doesn't happen. So, here's a backlog of some photos that I've been meaning to share. I wish I had a recent pic of the guy taking a bottle, but that is going to have to wait a little while longer :-). Here's Evan shopping at Target. We LOVE to shop now that we can sit up front and look (& grab) at everything. Playing outside with the dog while I attempt to rake up some leaves (and take some photos:).
