So we opened the windows (it was in the high 70's yesterday! And let the sunshine in. As you can see M is quite a trooper and was showing no signs of sickness. Although I really do feel justified in our recovery day, with the weather it sure did feel like we were playing hookie! She is so busy being a toddler! J and K Seattle. J and K Seattle.

We'd seen a few steps here and there, but she was determined to get the remote from Joe's hand- so determined that she walked across the living room for it. Saturday, January 1, 2011. In the days after Christmas we had a lot of visitors, which was a ton of fun and made the week pass so much more quickly. Cousin Peter (pictured below) and his wife Carol (not pictured. Don't be fooled- that is Joe in the picture) came on Monday. They're in for Christmas and New Years from the west coast. Our visits are so few and far between and often overwhelmed by family. It was wonderful to have some one-on-one time with them while they were here. J and K Seattle.

Monday, July 30, 2012. Happy 1st Birthday Benjamin Michael! It's hard to believe that a year has already gone by since we welcomed our little Ben into the world. I still see him as my little baby, but he sure has grown! Ben spent his birthday, July 9th, workin' hard at the Scituate Beach with all his Bird and Speier cousins. For his birthday dinner, we had some delicious enchiladas and rice (thank you Aunt Cindy and Uncle Stevie - it was the perfect dinner for our Texas boy! Leah was very helpful.
