Sunday, January 8, 2017. It’s never too late for a first-ever. Today was the first time in two dozen marathon training cycles that our first run was cancelled. I never officially called it off; didn’t need to. All of you made that (wise) decision yourselves by not driving to the Eugene Running Company (which had closed for the day, anyway). Sunday, October 9, 2016. Our marathoners did themselves - and all of us - proud on Sunday. Five of them ran marathons in three different states and British Columbia. All finished. Moving from east to west, Jean Cordova ran 5:19:49 (12:12 pace) and Tatiana Cordova 6:05:51 (13:58s) in the Chicago Marathon. No pair travels better than this mother-daughter team.
