Tuesday, February 3, 2015. After Chivas left, we did a few more activities, then it was time for a snack. Today, we skipped yogurt and opted for string cheese. It was really cool to watch Ben eat string cheese just about as "normal" as any kid not affected by a stroke. Really, it was boss. To demonstrate the point, here is Ben eating. you're welcome. Monday, June 23, 2014. Garage Sale and Bake Sale. I would say our garage sale was a success! We got rid of loads of stuff we didn't need anymore and made over $800 to put towards our trip to Birmingham. So right now airfare is kind of ridic. Since it's a ways out I'm hoping prices will come down. I still need to look into the extended stay places down there. Friday, January 30, 2015. Two weeks down and this happened:. So yeah. We've come a long way. We got some great focus first thing this morning then played with our friend, R again. Since it was his last day he got to do activities with his cast off and use both hands - something for Ben to look forward to next week! Ben and I both got big hugs from him before we left today. We spent the first part of our morning working on a variety of hand manipulations, doing key grasps, tripod grabs, and occasionally working on our pincer grasp. Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Ben had an appointment with his stroke specialist, Dr. Golomb, in Indianapolis on Monday. It went GREAT! We left Sunday morning EARLY. Like, 4am early. This was all Jeremy's idea and he thought it would be good to leave at that time and hope that Ben and Ainsley would sleep a good part of the ride. And they did!
