VT其中一樣熱賣品就是抺茶軟雪糕(Matcha soft serve).雪糕口感軟滑但又不會極速溶化,而且抺茶味非常甘香濃郁,令人想一吃再吃.而軟雪糕可以揀cup或者cone.我通常也會選擇杯裝,因為可以配搭不同的配料! 配料有水果,脆米,紅豆,丸子等.而我最鍾意就是帶點煙韌軟糯口感的丸子(shiratama)和可以增加口感的脆米. 抺茶雪糕還有另一個變奏版,就是Matcha affogato.其實就是在冰凍軟滑的抺茶雪糕上淋上熱辣辣的Matcha latte.一冷一熱的配搭令味蕾有另一番享受.而且Matcha latte令抺茶雪糕吃起來更滑更濃,所以這是我在VT其中一個非常喜愛的甜品! 剛才也提到Matcha affogato用上了小杯裝的Matcha latte.其實Matcha latte也是VT其中一樣熱賣品,因為它可以配上不同的漂亮latte art! March 30, 2014. 我鍾意食炸雞,適逢近來”星星”熱,身邊的朋友也想食炸雞,所以我們就選了李家作為聚會地點.一早已知會出現極長人龍,所以叫了朋友6:30pm去排隊,怎料她去到的時候已經排到去公廁,最後我們8:20pm才能入座,差不多等了兩個鐘…. 一坐低,大家便立即落單,因為等了兩個鐘後我們已經超餓.大概15至20分鐘後,第一碟炸雞終於來到 – 原味炸雞拼甜辣炸雞.先試原味炸雞,外皮帶點香脆,而且有少少辣,雞肉卻非常乾,完成沒有一點肉汁,令人失望.而甜辣炸雞則只是偏甜,接近零辣度,而且雞肉一樣是乾巴巴,即使我們有四個人也頗難將它清碟. 之後我們就試豉油炸雞.雞件被豉油煮過,所以偏向深色.味道方面帶點豉油甜味,但肉質同樣乾鞋,而且每件炸雞都非常細小,炸漿和骨差不多比雞肉還要多…. 吃了三款令人失望的炸雞後,我們便食芝士辣雞炒年糕.其實它一上檯時大家已經被它吸引著,因為年糕和雞肉都被滿滿的半融芝士覆蓋著,而且份量也多.年糕頗為煙韌,但辣汁不夠辣,而雞肉則是一貫的鞋口,整體來說不過不失,但點都比炸雞好,哈哈! Stockton位於人氣食店Fish and Meat旁邊,但位置隱密,如果不是朋友帶路,相信我要花上十數分鐘才能找到入口.走上一條頗斜的樓梯後,有一位男侍應站在門口核對身份,擾攘數分鐘後我們才可入內,感覺非常神秘,哈哈! 由於此店是酒吧的關係,又主打威士忌,所以大部分顧客也是在飲酒.可惜我不能飲酒,所以我們一開始便點了數款食物分享,當左pre-dinner(因為之後我們還要去吃炸雞 :p). 先來Scotch Egg ($80), 以免治肉碎包著雞蛋來炸,外層香脆不過咸,而且中間的蛋黃還呈流心狀態,蛋味香濃,配上微甜中帶辣的paparika aioli醬汁,是一款美味的小吃. Food journey of Ivan. 香港] 百吃不厭的角落小店: Cafe Deadend. March 30, 2014. 人越大,就發覺自己不想再追尋太多新事物.揀用餐地點也一樣,以往每星期一定要去試新餐廳,就算之前試過有多好吃,也不想短期內再去.但今時唔同往日,我喜歡重複去一些自己特別喜愛的餐廳,而Cafe Deadend就是其中之一. Cafe Deadend主要提供咖啡及一些輕食(例如三文治,沙律等),而且環境舒適,所以每逢週末都會特別多人,好多時都要排隊等候入座. 其實餐牌中的食物我有很多已經試過,而Crab Tartine就是我其實中一款常點的食物.帶點硬脆的麵包上放了牛油果,生菜,蕃茄,而最上方則置滿一大堆蟹肉.整體味道清新,而且蟹肉味道也不錯,吃多了也不會感得膩滯. 另外我也有試過Steak Sandwich. Baguette入面塗了些香草醬,中間放了數片牛肉,生菜,蕃茄及紫洋蔥.而旁邊則放了薯角及帶點辣的蕃茄醬.個人最喜歡味道帶甜,而且煮得軟腍的紫洋蔥,而牛肉方面如果多些肉汁則會更好,但整體也算不錯. 聽店員說下週末會轉換新甜品,真是令人期待,我相信我好快又會再來幫襯,哈哈!

April 1, 2014. 其實未出發前,我已經聽身邊的朋友不斷講起中村藤吉的抺茶甜品/雪糕有幾好味,而網上亦有不少好評及令人垂涎三尺的照片,令我對這間抺茶專門店不期然也有很高的期望. 中村藤吉位於京都宇治,如果不是抺茶愛好者的話,我相信很多人亦不會專程前往.其實我們本來計劃了去總店,但不知怎的,當日行下行下竟然去了平等院分店,而自己是到離開時才知道自己去了另一間店,哈哈! 一到門口,已經覺得店子充滿古典的日本色彩,店子後方還有一個庭園,由於等候的時間也不短,所以我也有到那裡走走,順便欣賞旁邊的山水景色. 由於是午飯時間,大家又未吃正餐,所以我們每人也點了一個抺茶蕎麥麵 (matcha soba).我點的是冷蕎麥麵(其實也有熱的).托盤上堆滿了青綠色的冷蕎麥麵,而旁邊則放了豉油和wasabi,讓食客可以慢慢的將麵沾上它們來吃. 先試一口淨蕎麥麵,基本上是完全沒有抺茶味的,不過麵條口感夠彈牙,也算是不錯.而且沾了豉油和wasabi後會變得比較惹味. 起初也膽心蕎麥麵的份量不夠,但吃完之後也感到頗為飽肚,所以我們就直接吃甜品了(是我最期待的環節,哈哈!
