The drive from Wyoming to South Dakota was the most surprising to me and filled with drastic changes in the terrain. Beautiful and long. We headed back to Powder House for lunch and swam in the "heated pool" — of course you must remember that in the North this just means ice doesn't form. I went in with Lea and it was cold! Monday, December 26, 2011. We started out the week with a visit to Santa. Lea has been very good this year so of course he was happy to see her well written and simple note. We went out to Grandmas on Wednesday and spent the week with Grampy (Lea's Great Grandpa) and Margarete. We had one beautiful day and we spent it outside. Monday, November 07, 2011. Summer Catch up 2 - Lea's Birthday. Our theme this year was S'Winter wonderland. At first I thought Lea was just being brilliant putting the words summer and winter together, but then I learned that Phineas and Ferb (our new favorite cartoon) had introduced Lea to the word and idea. Thursday, April 05, 2012. Its been a wild and busy Spring already! We started with Dan's birthday and dinner out. Then the weekend before my birthday we took an old fashioned steam train from one little town to Ft.Worth (about 45 minute trip). It was very touristy, but very fun.
