Saturday, January 04, 2014. We had another great Chrismtas this year! The girls are so much fun at ages 3 and 4! This year was a special Christmas for them because they got to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas day with both sets of grandparents! How fun is that? The girls hanging ornaments. Crazy how we had several at the very bottom of the tree : ). This was during Icemagedon 2013 ( that is what the local news stations called it. we had a bad ice storm and that caused two snow days! Wednesday, November 27, 2013. November Birthdays.and some October fun too! I didn't realize how long it's been since I posted until my sweet friend reminded me last night! November is busy for us with Hollyn and Brent's birthdays. Brent's parents came for Hollyn's birthday weekend. She loved every part of her birthday! I have enjoyed having the whole week off for Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! Marina said that we should start a cake making business! Birthday party at Bounce Town!

Sunday, October 20, 2013. We have been loving all of the fun fall festivies in Texas this last month. We had the fair, soccer games, birthday parties and, of course, a few fall festivals. They love their fall festivals down here! This week the girls have two Halloween parties and then in a couple of weeks Nana and Papa will be here for Hollyn's 3rd birthday! This month is flying by! Hattie wanted a princess pumpkin and Hollyn wanted a cat.this is how they turned out! Hattie won the medal for determination.

Sunday, March 31, 2013. What a great Easter we had this year! We went to church this morning and then ate lunch with sisters' families and my parents. The girls loved all their Easter goodies they got. Hollyn was a little upset the the carrots she we laid out for the bunny were gone this morning. She keeps saying "no, no bunny.those were my carrots". Oh that child! Girls all dressed up in their dresses from Nana! Checking out their baskets. Easter hunt in our subdivision. Ava's in Rockwall is super good!

Sunday, February 16, 2014. Hattie and Brent all dressed up. Sounds like they had a fun night of dancing, playing games, taking pictures and eating desserts. One day we went to our favorite yogurt place so Hattie ran upstairs and got dressed to match the place. She is pretty funny! Hollyn swallowed a penny one afternoon and after looking up stories online, we decided to take her to get x-rays. We never did find that penny. We quit looking after a few days : ). Playing in the park. Those kids were so fast!

Sunday, March 16, 2014. This year's spring break seemed to come at a much needed break time for us. The last few weeks have been pretty crazy, so it has been nice to relax at home as a family. My Grandma Lois died on February 28th. She was 101 years old! She lived a wonderful life and still had a great memory until the day she died! My sister, Kim, dad and I flew up to South Dakota for a few days to attend her funeral. It was freezing! Kim and me with our 3 nieces. 13 of 14 grandkids. All 4 of them!

Sunday, October 07, 2012. We are loving this fall-like weather we are having in Texas! I was so excited to get the sweaters and boots out for this 50 degree weather! I think it is supposed to get back in the 80's again soon, so I guess it is a little tease, but it sure beats the summer heat. I love fall! I know I have been bad about blogging again! I guess the only reason I can think of is that I have been so tired the last few weeks. These days I have the same bedtime as the girls! They finally got it!

Sunday, September 15, 2013. Back to School 2013! It's the start of another school year! I know I am a few weeks late. This school year is already proving to be very busy! I am not teaching this year because I took an assistant director position at my school. I am really enjoying it so far. I stay very busy during the day!
