John O'Groats to Lands End - 840 miles in 7 days, on a vintage racing bike (JOGLE)
The Endeavour - Not Again!! JoGLE, 2009
http://jogler.weebly.com/the-endeavour.html
The length of the UK in 7 days. As many of you will know, this will be my second John O'Groat's to Lands End cycle ride. Last time I undertook this adventure, we took 20 days, averaging around 60 miles per day. This time, I'm going to be more than doubling the daily distance, whilst using a bike that is 35 years older than the bike I used first time around. I shall also be carrying everything I need to cook, wash, sleep and eat. To view the route, click here. Why make it so difficult? 1x Nokia E65 (spare).

At 6:50pm, 14/09/09, I succesfully completed my 840 mile ride! It took me 7.5 days riding time, with a further 1/2 day lost to appalling weather in Scotland, and a full day lost to rear wheel problems! Ironically, the spoke failures were the only problems I encountered (aside from punctures), with all of the vintage bike components performing very well indeed! To those of you that posted comments on the blog.thank you! So to those of you that have supported my ride, thank you! Create a free website.
