I have thought often about starting a blog but couldn't decide where in my life to begin so this being a special day in our family (and maybe this is something of a resolution as well) I thought I would start with this story. I am not a big believer in celebrating people on only one day of the year but it does seem to get people moving - at least some people. One Mother's Day "gift" I remember as a most interesting adventure. Bob, grandson Michael and I dug a trench from her basement out to the street to run a drain for her sump pump.
