Oblate Visit to Zambia. July 13, 2016. By Fr Jim Chambers, OMI. MADE IT TO SHANGOMBO! Left Mongu at 9am-made it across the new bridge by Sioma over the Zambezi. My buddy Fr. Pius met us right at the bridge and escorted us to Franciscan Srs convent in Sioma where we left the van. The roads from this point would not be good for the Van. We left Sioma at 1:30pm and many bumps later we made it to Shangombo at 5:30pm. We are a little dusty and slightly bruised, but very happy to have made it! July 13, 2016.

Oblate Visit to Zambia. A tale of two cities? July 15, 2016. Charles Dickens in A Tale of Two Cities, depicts the struggles of the French proletarians, who were subjugated by a powerful and wealthy bourgeoisie, in the period leading to the French revolution. While the revolution has come to pass, two centuries already, similar circumstances are observed in the world, especially here in Zambia, where our mission immersion experience is enfolding.
