John and Beth Home. Welcome to JohnAndBeth.org. You've discovered the island hideaway of John Nolley and Beth Bottom here on the vast sea that is the Internet. Welcome! We've created this site to share a slice of our lives minus the pet dander, bird screeches, cat chases, and dog howls that we experience in our fauniferous zoo. Each and every day. Read more about it in John's blog. As we get renovations and other personalizations done. 2006: A Tough Year for Our Fauniferous Zoo. Began breathing with diff...

Random tidbits from our life. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Well I haven't been blogging. I always think about it, but honestly we haven't had much going on. We moved back to MA in January and have just been waiting and going to doctors appointments. Friday, January 18, 2013. Anyway, this is a little old but I didn't post about it last time and wanted to share some pictures. This a tradition we hope to get to continue each year. Friday, December 14, 2012. One of my resolutions for 2013 is going to be to blog mo...

Monday, July 6, 2015. We had a fun, traditional 4th of July in Mississippi. The day started out with the pledge of allegiance and Charlotte in a themed outfit:. We caught her admiring herself in the mirror:. The VanYperens came over later and there was a water balloon fight, sprinkler fun, and then everyone was enraptured by the "snakes". You can see by their faces that they are quite pleased with how the snakes are "growing":. Of course, Arabelle decided this was her "baby":. Friday, June 12, 2015.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Of pictures from the trip, but I don’t know how to make the photos look the way I want, so they are all just centered throughout the text. Also, my hair is poofy and my skin is shiny in nearly every photo, but I learned that is normal in Hawaii, so don’t judge. After a long flight over the Pacific Ocean, we arrived at the Honolulu airport around 3:30 in the afternoon (HI time). Right away we got to go outside, across this walkway that took us to baggage claim. We got dropped o...

Friday, October 28, 2011. Today would have been my Dad's 58th Birthday. Oh how I wish I could call him to say Happy Birthday. Maybe we would be cooking him dinner. Maybe he could read Ian his bedtime stories. We have been so blessed with life. Monday, August 29, 2011. Hurricane Katrina - 6 years later. I heard this six years ago on NPR about a month after Hurricane Katrina. I think it is such a valuable essay on the true lessons we learned, and should keep learning. Did you see us looking back? I heard a...

Sunday, March 11, 2012. We are going to have our hands full with a new baby in the house, much less him trying to convert over to Officer. Like I said I hate it for him, but hopefully he can get it next year! With that being said it is moving time! But that part was done. Our express shipment can only be 500 lbs with no big appliances or furniture, so it is mostly going to be clothes, and some smaller kitchen things and baking items. Everything else will be gone Tuesday. I should be leaving Italy around ...
