Wednesday, June 30, 2010. In June Kate has learned so much. She has started using Mama and Dada appropriately. It was so sweet when I picked her up at Bible School she got so excited and yelled Mama! When she eats something she really likes and growling mmm. When you are being too slow to give her a bite. One day she surprised me by grabbing the straw in my drink and drinking it and recently she started waving bye bye occasionally. Every day she amazes me with something I didn't expect her to do or know.

Saturday, October 31, 2009. October was a month of great sadness and incredible joy. I will miss my mother-in law so much and I grieve that Kate will not have any grandmothers but this was also one of the happiest months of my life getting to know my daughter and falling in love with her. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Disney Cruise Day 4-Skagway. We woke up in Skagway, Alaska this morning! This was BIG TIME for us since this is the 50th state that we have all 5 visited since 2006. We ate breakfast onboard and then headed into town early because we had an excursion planned for 11:30. The kids could not wait to step foot in to state #50. Since we weren't driving this trip we were afraid we wouldn't find a welcome sign, but much to everyone's excitement we did! We are all blessed by his wanderlust!

JJ, Kara, Anne and Joel. August has flown by, and I’ve fallen behind posting everything that’s gone on. In the first week: Anne began a ballet/tap combo class. She absolutely LOVES it. We originally planned for her to just take classes for one month, but she is enjoying it so much we’re going to let her keep at it. In the second week: I started back at GCS. Gaba and Papa and Laura both babysat Anne and Joel all week while I sat through inservice. THANK YOU! In the third week: Anne started first grade!

Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Disney Cruise Day 3-Tracy Arm. Our destination today was Tracy Arm. Tracy Arm is a fjord in the inside passage. The ship goes in, travels to the Sawyer glacier and hangs out for the most incredible viewing/watching of the glacier and then has to turn around and go back out. It takes about 2 hours to go in and then 2 hours out. So, while we were eating to get to the icy part of the fjord, we went to see few princesses…. The closer you get to the glacier, the bluer the water gets.
