Our life in Kazakhstan. Sunday, January 5, 2014. Surprise Birthday party at Korean hotel/hotsprings. John doesn't mind smiling for ONE photo. After lunch most people left and we jumped into the hotsprings for a long time and then spent the night at the hotel. In the morning everything had frosted over. We walked around, had breakfast and then got back in the springs. The frosted trees and the fog in the hills reminded us a lot of China. Fish hung out to dry. Kimchi stored in big clay pots. A day in Korea.

Our life in Kazakhstan. Sunday, January 5, 2014. Philippines Guimaras Part I. The village has a lantern contest and all the different provinces enter a lantern. These are all just quick pics off the back of the tricycle. We definitely took advantage of this pool, or Sadie did anyway. She practically spent all day, everyday in the pool. She came out to eat and take naps, but it all paid off because she can swim now! John calls it the drowning rat swim, but at least it's better than the sinking rat swim.

Our life in Kazakhstan. Sunday, January 5, 2014. A day in Korea. The airport in Korea offers free tours into the city so we signed up. We took a bus into the Northern part of the city and went to a palace, a Buddhist temple, a touristy street and a restaurant.
