John's Project Blog. Home made Pine Cone Bird Feeders. March 25, 2012. What you will need:. 2 Envelopes of Gelatine. 2 Cups of Bird Seed. 1/2 Cup Boiling water. Approximately 5 Pine Cones. Add the 2 packs of gelatine to the 1/2 cup of boiling water, mix until smooth. Add the bird seed and mix well. Add more seed if mix is still too wet. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Note: tie ribbon or string around pine cones at this point to hang afterwards, I forgot to do this.). Home made Pine Cone Bird Feeders.
