With the change in seasons my running has been on the rise as well. I got out there four times last week for nearly 24 miles. A synopsis of my running, biking, and just about anything else. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. When I am pressed for time like tonight when I have chicken and baked potatoes in the oven and the timer reads 30 minutes, I have to get out for a quick run and this loop. Has filled that role nicely. It is easily completed under 30 minutes and if I boogie, as I did tonight, then it is closer to 25 minutes. I long steady downhill to start, a mile of flat, a ton of steps, and then a flat finish. The sun is out!

Easy pace the entire way and we finished somewhere around 90 minutes for 10 miles. Decided to skip the run on Saturday and spend time with family outdoors. That means I did not run the Rothman 8k, which I had been training for. The thought of coughing and worse in a crowd of hundreds of runners was just not appealing to me. He ran very even splits, yet slightly faster at the end. Also to Ryan, who also ran an even pace throughout Chicago. And to seebo.
