Here are the results of last weekend's Mother's Day Missilefits. Launch and some pictures of my rocket. You can see I started with a sketch of a Giant-Baby-Head idea (perhaps too similar to my previous Flying Skull Rocket. And eventually switched to a more aerodynamic Stork-Birth model:. Graphic Tales: Snow Day with Francesca
http://ulcercity.blogspot.com/2014/01/snow-day-with-francesca.html
Monday, January 6, 2014. Snow Day with Francesca. For anyone living in the middle of the country, it's hardly news to say that it's been frigid cold. For the past 24 hours or so, and for the next 12, too. The cold moved in after it snowed about a foot, which is plenty for these parts. It gave me flashbacks to the Northern Ohio winters of my youth. Er, no thanks. Still, it's been sort of fun to hunker down; it's prolonged the sense that 2014 hasn't really gotten underway. Her gift was a marvelous thank you.

Saturday, February 26, 2011. Sunday, February 20, 2011. Saturday, February 12, 2011. This week's Illustration Friday is one of my favorite things in the whole world:. Ok, but now I have a question. HOW DO I HANDLE THIS IMAGE SITUATION! You know what I mean? When you take a scan/photo of your painting/drawing and you have to deal with all the warping and craziness in the background! It leaves out some of the subtle information around the edges. WHAT DO I DO? Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Been sick all week...

Ah, the madness has begun! I am actually very excited about this coming year. I have so many plans, ideas, projects, classes, the whole bit! I just added another class to the roster; The illustrated Portrait, which is only a one credit course, but seems really fun! We draw our interpretations of famous folks while also focusing on a specific target audience. Overall, I have an exciting and busy semester ahead of me and I'm ready to go for it, arms 'a flailin, and all that jazz. I also have a book cover p...
