Blog for ENGL 808: Jeopardy Game on Facebook - Day 1

http://www.johnhepler808english.blogspot.com/2010/10/jeopardy-game-on-facebook-day-1.html

Blog for ENGL 808. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Jeopardy Game on Facebook - Day 1. After playing with the Jeopardy game in class on Monday night, I came away feeling that as a language instruction tool, it was pretty hard. It could be perhaps used in high level ESOL classes, but even in that situation, I'm pretty cautious. I'm going to continue to play the game throughout the week to see if I am right and I can compete with other live players. I hope I don't get my butt whipped by a 13-year-old.

Blog for ENGL 808. Monday, September 27, 2010. ENGL 808 Group Book Project. Burcu, Lilian and I are reviewing the textbook Computers in the Composition Classroom. Posted by John Hepler. My Experiences as a C&T Student. Starting doctoral studies at IUP was, for me, a culmination of one journey, and the start of another. I spent 3 years at WCU working on a Master's in TESOL and continuing my education to the doctoral level seemed to be the continuation of that path of self-discovery and learning.

Mitch's Blog, Booooyyyyyy!: October 2010

http://mitchsblogbooooyyyyyy.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Mitch's Blog, Booooyyyyyy! Sunday, October 24, 2010. I'm enlightened by how bad I spell. There were multiple times that I missed points because I couldn't figure out how to spell the word I was trying to use. It looked right to me? Friday, October 22, 2010. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Lets Play Family Feud! I said push-ups. No points. I said massages. No points. Really, if your masseuse had eight arms with, I'm assuming, eight hands, how awesome would that be? I look forward to another game filled tomorrow.

Mitch's Blog, Booooyyyyyy! Monday, October 4, 2010. My significant experience with technology in school has to do with keeping up with technological advancements in the classroom. I feel this impact the most when teaching students in my own classes. I find that using technology helps to keep students' interests because the Internet, Yotube. Mitch's Blog, Booooyyyyyy! Monday, September 27, 2010. Going To Be A Doctor, But Not One With A Stethascope. Is That How You Spell That? The first few weeks into my doctoral program are going well. I will admit, it's cool that I get to type blogs, tweet, and, in the future, Facebook. As part of my doctoral classwork. I didn't expect. That What's not cool is that my eyes are beginning to wither up like used tea bags sitting at the top of the trash. I b elieve. Since I was in high school. Blog for ENGL 808.

Mitch's Blog, Booooyyyyyy! Monday, September 27, 2010. I can't think of the title of the book we're using for the group book project, but basically it is a book that covers the effects of technology on cognitive. Processes. For example, there are essays arguing, like Plato did, that the written word leads to the deterioration. Of memory. I've hardly even scanned the book at this point, so I'm not sure which article(s) I'm going to use yet, but I'll be on that soon! September 28, 2010 at 12:00 PM.
