My brother Greg dropped me off and hiked with me to the Canadian border where we said goodbye. Sunny, some light snow and a few patches of ice on the ground. More moose prints than humans. So far no other hikers seen. No registers at the first two shelters? Stopped for a late lunch at Shooting Star Shelter.
