Apr 4, 2014 by. Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love. For He does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. God cares when your heart is broken. When life hurts and rips you apart, God notices your tears. Your pain matters to Him because you matter to Him. You belong to Him. God didn’t cause the sin that caused your pain. Apr 2, 2014 by. It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the One who is invisible. Faith doesn’t look at the chaos. The enemy chases you. The sea surrounds you. The chariots approach and the waves billow before you. Faith looks to the One who calms the sea. To the One who has promised to be a Fortress. To the One who is able to be everything you need. Faith looks to Jesus. Don’t ever look away. The waters may rise.

Mar 30, 2014 by. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. I stood in front of the mirror and looked at a woman I didn’t recognize. Impossible to figure out. I slipped on my glasses and everything came into focus.
