John Lowry - Artist. Original art by John Lowry. John has an MA in Fine Art and a C.Eng and is curently curator of the Great North Art Show at Ripon Cathedral. His subject matter varies widely from realistic landscapes to the totally abstract but exploring the boundary between realism and abstraction is a focus. Media is normally pastel, oils and acrylics. John teaches landscape and abstraction, but he also teaches drawing and painting, in any of the opaque media - pastel, goache, acrylic or oil.
