Andrea and I spent a lovely afternoon at our friend Leif Alpsjö. 8216;s house playing tunes with nice folks. We stopped at Viksta-Lasse’s memorial stone in Viksta on the way there. Lydia's musical adventures in Sweden. Drottningholm: the queen’s castle. Long day trip to Stockholm ». August 19, 2012. On the third Sunday in August, the little town of Älvkarleby celebrates its famous historic nyckelharpa player: Carl Ersson Bössa, known as Byss-Calle, who lived from 1783 1847. His tunes are among the best beloved in the nyckelharpa canon. I hadn’t been intending to perform, but it turned out that really anyone who comes with an instrument is encouraged to. It was Elisabet’s birthday, which she wanted to celebrate that evening with a big feast at the famous medieval-themed Olde Hansa. Restaurant.
