Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Cable Beach – Broome. Sunset at Cable Beach. Swimming at the caravan park. We had great neighbours at the caravan park so the kids were pretty happy. It’s a very friendly place as well with all of the locals growing up in Adelaide it seems….well it felt like that …everyone we spoke to said they grew up in Adelaide anyway. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Spent the last couple days making our way across to Western Australia. We are spending our nights in road side camps which have been surprisingly good. They get you off the road a fair way so you don’t feel like you are going to get run over by the road trains that keep going all night. Sunday, May 22, 2011. Katherine Gorge, Mataranka and Tennant Creek. Swimming pool at camp ground. Fruit bats or Flying Foxes? The walks were very challenging in the gorge so we only did one of the smaller ones. It was still great but we didn’t see the real gorge part of it. Next we went to Mataranka and the Thermal Pool there. A short walk from there is the Roper River where we saw only our second wild Crocodile off in the distance. Crocodile in Roper River. This is the house they used in the book/movie.
