Carol Lambert Artworks: June 2013
http://carollambert.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Paintings by an Alaskan Artist. Monday, June 3, 2013. Gold Pitcher, Noble Ladies. I am playing around with fabric backgrounds. My experiments are not always successful, but there is something about this one I like. Behind the pitcher is a Japanese textile showing some ancient court ladies, with their long tresses and billowing robes. My reflection is visible on the surface of the pitcher, backlit, so it is just a shadowy form. I hope you like my experiment too. And sometimes on my website. I also cre...

Carol Lambert Artworks: New York Report 2
http://carollambert.blogspot.com/2015/04/new-york-report-2.html
Paintings by an Alaskan Artist. Friday, April 24, 2015. New York Report 2. In addition to studying at the Art Students League in March, I spent time sketching in the Metropolitan Museum. For some time I have been fascinated by the figure of the Virgin in this stunning Annunciation by Memling (1465 - 75). Her face has a subtle expression of someone listening with utmost calm, unusual in an Annunciation. This is the result (still not quite perfect, but close! Posted by Carol Lambert. Susan Webb Bonnell and William McEldowney Bonnell. Monday, March 26, 2012. This is the little painting I've been working on. And because I don't like it, I'm stalling and not doing anything with it. Gonna have to bite the bullet and finish it off, whether I like it or not. Finishing is important to the process. Very important. Thanks for taking a peek. March 26, 2012 at 3:18 PM. Susan Webb Bonnell and William McEldowney Bonnell. Monday, July 18, 2011. I told you I would do some work drawing while we were on vacation, and I'm so proud of myself because I DID! I sat in the sun overlooking beautiful Crater Lake and drew this from my photo reference. I felt a little guilty that I was not doing a beautiful landscape in such surroundings, but still life is my first love. Holly @ The Runny Egg. Susan the pears are so cute! July 18, 2011 at 1:19 PM. http://susanbonnell.blogspot.com/2013/02/just-update.html
Susan Webb Bonnell and William McEldowney Bonnell. Saturday, February 9, 2013. Hi I'm still alive and kickin! And doing some drawing and some painting. Just not enough of either. Yesterday I sold another painting, the study of "Cherries," a small 5 x 7 little work, but the buyer was happy and so was I :-) I also sold SEVEN of Bill's works, watercolors, pastels and an oil. I need to get that man back in the studio, working, working, working! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bainbridge Island, WA.
