John R. Zimmerman, Euphonium Soloist. Since my dad was so deeply involved in community bands, I was fortunate to have learned the band business, inside and out. I learned all the behind-the-scenes business activities necessary to help a local musical organization thrive and prosper. From providing librarian duties to dealing with personnel requirements to logistics involving transporting musical equipment and chairs to obtaining venues, I learned it all at a very young age.
