I'll get to the great game changer, but first I'm going to show off the grand baby a bit. (Scroll to the bottom if you get antsy! Jack and his parents are doing great. He's up to eight pounds, now, and has grown an inch in three weeks! Two weeks old and a new belly button! Nothing like a new baby to wake you up with a smile!

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Home Orientation and the Kid's Move. Wednesday we woke up and tried out the new drug schedule. I saw some need to improve the spread sheet, as 15 drugs and dosage times need a daily chart rather than a weekly one. The PT called to set up an evaluation appointment, and John and I did some physical therapy out of the books, and then that wonderful thing, a shower! A good morning when you feel clean and sparkly! Sunday brought more physical work outs for John, more gardening work ...

Thursday, March 24, 2011. Brand New Baby Boy. First of millions of baby pictures! Right after he was born, Erin told Evan: " He looks like Sharla! My sister asked if that was because I have a smushed face and a pointy head. I think he looks like an Angel. Every child that has been brought to our family has been a wonderful gift. Thanks to God for this new Great Gift to our entire family! And, please, let's have lots more! Jack and Dad on the way to the nursery to get checked out. Wednesday, March 23, 2011.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Haven't written in a while. Last week was quite full. I'd think about writing, and then decide bedtime was more important, so no news during the adjustment phase. So, off to the center. I loaded all his gear, and checked the long list of prescriptions, waved at the nurses station as we wheeled by, and by 9:30, he was free! Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Chemo and Radiation Begin. Monday was John's first day for Chemo and Radiation treatments. This day was rough. Chemotherapy drugs are serious business, as anyone knows who has dealt with them before. Our mantra is: Down the hatch; kill the bastard. Tuesday came off without a hitch, but John was extremely annoyed by the after effects of the seizure on Monday. So, a day of frustration, but we heard that Erin's doctor's appointment indicated all systems go anytime!
