Counting – John & Julie Schroder

http://johnschroder.co.uk/js/my-way/counting

John & Julie Schroder. Trills & Shakes. All my trills and shakes. I have noticed two advantages using this method:. Your thumb finds the keys quicker when playing, due to familiarity. Lots of music has 8 bar phrases – one complete circuit. The two disadvantages are:. You can get 8 bars out by forgetting how many times round your thumb has been. Crane – John & Julie Schroder

http://johnschroder.co.uk/js/my-way/crane

John & Julie Schroder. Trills & Shakes. All my trills and shakes. This is my crane supporting my bassoon. I designed and made the crane about 35 years ago and have been playing using it ever since. With the combination of my crane to take the weight of the instrument and a balance hanger to attach the crane near the centre of gravity, my hands and fingers are free to move and the bassoon can move too. Click on a stave to go to the fingerings. Some Trills and Shakes. All my trills and shakes.
