At least for my adult life I DID grow up working in a bar/bowling alley/restaurant surrounded by family and friends and sports, you know! I have been in various management positions, designed specialized equipment and production lines, was the “go to guy” for the owner of a $50-million per year company, and some other cool stuff. While my new position may not be for everyone I LOVE it! And what am I doing now, you may ask (or not)?

Everybody's gotta eat! Cornish Hen, Grilled. January 23, 2012. I marinated a 2.5lb Cornish Hen in White Wine, Citrus Juice, Garlic, Red Pepper Flakes and other flavorings. I typically marinade for around 24 hours (flipping periodically), then use an Herbal Sea Salt and Pepper to finish the seasoning process. I grilled the bird for around 10 to 12 minutes per side. For a first attempt at a Cornish Hen, I nailed it! Served with my take on a Caprese Salad as the only side. This entry was posted in cooking.

Everybody's gotta eat! Eggplant with Garlic & Basil. Spicy Shrimp and Farro. August 24, 2011. Also known as farro. Especially in Italy, is a low yielding, awned. It was one of the first crops domesticated. In the Near East. Spicy Shrimp with Farro, Basil and Garlic, steamed Green Beans and Beefsteak Tomato Slices with Herbed Sea Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil and Vinegar. Yet another great, light Summer meal on the Patio.
