The Kaun's 2010 European Odyessy. Saturday, August 7, 2010. Thursday we went to the Dachau Concentration Camp – a very sobering experience. Dachau was the model for all future concentration camps to follow. It is hard to comprehend the cruelty of mankind. The day was a drizzly grey day, so it added to the atmosphere. Enough said on that subject. This morning Brian and Kendra went to pick up the rental car, which was supposed to be an Audi A4 but ended up being an Audi Q5 (woohoo! August 7, 2010 at 3:22 PM.

We finished our stay in Reutte, Austria with a tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle (the Disney castle); it was a short drive away, only 10 or 15 minutes! It was quite the hoof up the hill to get there. King Ludwig II died before the final completion and only spent a total of 172 nights there. After our tour we went to the viewpoint bridge (along with 1000 others. good view though).
